In conjunction with our relentless on-campus care, John Knox Village works hand-in-hand with Trustbridge Hospices to provide our residents ongoing care no matter the situation. Doing so allows us to offer services like hospice care, a 24-hour rotation of caregivers, and even acute care and symptom management, either in the comfort of your own home or at the Trustbridge Hospice home located on campus. What is Hospice Care? Often a misunderstood sector of care, hospice care (or palliative care), is focused on bringing those with an advanced or terminal illness (and their families) the peace of mind they crave during this stressful time in their lives. Through Trustbridge, John Knox Village is able to offer a plethora of hospice care services from the comfort of the patient’s home. With scheduled visits from a registered nurse as well as certified nursing assistants, our staff does everything in our power to assist the patient and their family as they adjust to this new change in lifestyle. 24-Hour Caregivers on Standby Aside from the emotional and mental unrest that comes when a loved one is terminally ill, being by their side through it all can make for one of the most challenging experiences of your life.
