Overview of LongCrest

LongCrest, located in Lancaster, PA offers independent living & low income / affordable.

LongCrest features 52 newly constructed affordable housing apartments for low income seniors ages 62 and older, providing a valuable community resource while preserving the history of the Long Home site in Lancaster city.

Presbyterian Senior Living has reused the existing main structure of the original Long Home and a carriage house to create common area spaces that include a large community room, fitness room, game room, meeting rooms, resident storage, and other various socializing spaces.

The original Long Home was built in 1905 to fulfill the legacy of Judge Long’s estate to serve seniors with limited income from the Lancaster area. Since then the volunteer board of directors of the Long Home, together with Presbyterian Senior Living whom they joined in 2008, have fulfilled this vision, serving seniors with limited resources with housing in the region.

Applicants must be ages 62 or older and have an income of less than 60% of area median income for Lancaster County. While apartments are subject to income limits, these are not subsidized apartments. We welcome and accept Housing Choice and VASH Vouchers.
