Chosen Valley Care Center, Inc. has been providing skilled nursing services in Chatfield since 1976, independent living apartments since 1990, and assisted living apartments since 2006. Chosen Valley Assisted Living Apartments opened in 2006 with 20 apartment units available to seniors. Apartments are located on upper and lower levels with an elevator for convenience. Chosen Valley Assisted Living includes four large one bedroom, twelve small one bedroom and four studio deluxe apartments. Each unit includes a handicap design. There are comfortable and spacious common areas, as well as an outdoor patio and deck. Apartments are rented on a monthly basis. Building security is provided through a locked front door. An intercom system in each apartment allows communication with visitors and the front door may then be unlocked from within the apartment. Chosen Valley Apartments opened in 1990 with 15 independent living units for seniors in the Chatfield area. All apartments are located on the ground level, including 13 one bedroom, 2 two bedroom, and one apartment that is of handicap design. Apartments are rented on a monthly basis at a standard non-subsidized amount. However, individuals may apply for rental assistance through county programs. Each tenant pays their own utilities (electricity, telephone and cable for TV). Building security is provided through a locked front door. An intercom system in each apartment allows communication with visitors and the front door may then be unlocked from within the apartment.
