Atlantic Specialty Care, located in Atlantic, IA offers respite care, long-term care & skilled nursing.

Here at Atlantic Specialty Care, it is our mission to provide quality, compassionate healthcare for the elderly in our community. We achieve that mission by providing a pleasant, secure and homelike atmosphere staffed by professionally-trained, skilled nursing personnel.

Atlantic Specialty Care has spacious private and semi-private rooms, including six Rehab to Home rooms. Intermediate care and skilled nursing care are provided 24-hours a day as well as access to a variety of specialty therapies. An optometrist, dentist and podiatrist visit our facility monthly for any patient in need. Daily activities and monthly gatherings are planned to engage residents, their families and the community.

With state-of-the-art technology, such as real-time electronic healthcare recordkeeping, and regular daily and weekly meetings among staff and family, Atlantic Specialty Care has consistently received high marks for our quality of care as seen in our annual survey of residents and family members. Additionally, our Rehab to Home program has a 60 percent success rate in getting residents back in their homes and functioning independently. Even after a patient returns home, our staff follows up with them weekly for a month and then on a monthly basis to assist them if needed.
