Our skilled nursing facility consists of a sub-acute/skilled unit, a long term care unit, and secured Alzheimer unit. Palm Garden of West Palm Beach offers several specialty programs. Our therapy department has a full training kitchen and training bathroom. Our staff is trained to use electrical stimulation to enhance wound healing, as well as Diathermy for pain management. We have a full-time Respiratory Therapist to lead and monitor our respiratory program. Our Pulmonologist makes weekly rounds in the facility, which aids in weaning patients from tracheostomies and oxygen therapy. We have a full-time wound care nurse and a wound care specialist that make weekly rounds to see all residents with skin breakdown. Our psychiatrist makes weekly rounds and reviews psychotropic medication use. This great team work and staff allows us to offer the best care. Knowing you or your loved one is in good hands is warming to the heart. We are proud to offer an on site dialysis center which provides easy accessibility for our residents. Since this eliminates resident travel time, our residents have more time for therapy and activities which improve their quality of life. We offer our residents a full-time Registered Dietician who does an in-depth assessment and monitoring of residents with weight loss or other dietary issues, specifically the dialysis patients.
