Kindy Care Center

Kindy Care Center, an Adult Foster Care Home nestled in a quiet, country setting in Freeland, MI (Midland County) was started in the mid-60’s by David & Alta Kindy. Rhoda Byler (one of David and Atlas daughters) took over the home in 2013. Today, Rhoda is the owner and administrator of Kindy Care Center. Rhoda grew up in the home, assisting with residents and household chores from a very young age. This unique opportunity gave Rhoda a plethora of knowledge and she continues to learn about the ever-changing world of adult/elderly care. Security, health and comfort are the primary goals of Kindy Care Center. Our facility stives to further empower our residents by providing them with exceptional services and amenities. Our focus is on the emotional, mental and physical well-being of our residents. We believe that quality and affordability, accompanied with high standards of care are what set us apart. Kindy Care Center is proud to work with community partners such as Harmony Cares (medical care), The Care Team (physical and/or occupational therapy), vocational training, educational & mental health services, Region XII Area Agency on Aging, Great Lakes Pharmacy, A & D Home Health Care and Hospice Advantage. We offer private and semi-private suites that are comfortable, relaxing and each have their own private bathroom. Our facilities offer safe, clean, top of the line equipment so our residents feel safe and are always at ease. All meals are well balanced and made from scratch. Our daily living services include meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping, general maintenance and social interaction. Our assisted personal self-care services include assistance with bathing and/or showering, dressing, personal hygiene, toileting, eating and medication passing. Kindy Care Center is a fully licensed and insured facility. Every member of our staff is CPR and first aid certified and continue on-going training. We are a barrier-free, handicap accessible facility.
