Sunrise of Gurnee is located on a beautiful piece of land on Hunt Club Road in Lake County, Illinois. Our community grounds are breathtaking; we have a shaded walking path with bench seats for rest and relaxation, a fountain pond and gazebo area for enjoying lovely days with family and friends, and garden beds tended to by our residents featuring colorful blooms and fresh vegetables. Within our community, you’ll find a warm and inviting atmosphere with the buzz of happy, active residents and compassionate, nurturing caregivers. At Sunrise of Gurnee, we truly believe that it is the caliber of our designated care managers that sets us apart. We hire qualified caregivers who build personal relationships with our residents and understand each person’s unique needs and preferences. Our Reminiscence Neighborhood offers specialized care for those living with memory loss. Residents have access to private bathtiques with whirlpool tubs, a full service salon, a private dining room, and spacious outdoor patios. Our activity program is vibrant and varied; daily exercise and afternoon socials are among our residents’ favorite activities. Our residents are very active in our local Gurnee community. Many volunteer with Woodland Community Grade School and students also come to Sunrise to visit and complete projects. At Sunrise of Gurnee, we have an excellent dining program. Our chef’s menu is reflective of traditional Midwest fare and features meals such as ham, sweet potatoes, green beans, and chocolate cream pie.
