Conveniently located in Battle Creek on Bedford Road/state route M37, The Laurels of Bedford is a 123-bed skilled nursing center dedicated to both care and caring. Our team of professionals is committed to creating an environment that makes both our short-term and longer-term guests feel at home.
Our acclaimed short-term rehabilitation program offers physical, occupational and speech therapy sessions up to seven days a week. Therapists work with each rehab guest’s doctor to customize a program that is specific to his or her needs. And while they’re healing, our short-term guests can enjoy a choice menu and private suites with telephone, cable TV and other amenities. When guests are ready to go home, a therapist will perform a home evaluation to ensure that a safe and successful discharge.
We welcome and honor our long-term guests as well, considering them members of our ever-growing Laurel family. To us, caring means being a companion and treating each guest with the utmost dignity, respect and compassion. It’s what we call The Laurel Way of Caring, and we do it every day.
The NEW Laurels of Bedford!
The Laurels of Bedford is thrilled to further invest in delivering quality senior care and rehabilitation services to the Battle Creek area with the addition of over 13,000 square feet to the existing building in total. The new renovations, set to open Summer 2020, will feature a state-of-the-art rehabilitation gym at the front entrance and a new wing added to the rear of the facility that will include 17 private guest suites and additional work space and storage areas.
Featuring the latest equipment and an in-house team of rehabilitation and therapy specialists, the 2,500-square foot therapy gym addition will improve ease of access for visitors from outside of the facility seeking outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy while remaining centrally located for residents partaking in short and long-term rehabilitation programs. Additionally, the 11,000-square foot private guest suite corridor will feature rooms with private bathrooms and showers, along with a new nursing station, staff lounge and administrative offices.
