Making choices about your own life, being listened to and “heard,” and being truly “known” is a basic human right. Wheat State Manor, Inc. has a tremendous heritage of love and caring. Nine churches, two in Whitewater, two in Potwin and five from neighboring communities worked together to make the vision of providing a nursing care home a reality. An article in the Newton Kansas newspaper (1973) quoted the Rev. Alfred H.
