Christie Stukenholtz Receives Nebraska Distinguished Entrepreneur Award
Recognized for innovation, impact, and entrepreneurial leadership in Nebraska and beyond, we’re proud to share that our co-founder and CEO, Christie Stukenholtz, has been named the 2025 Nebraska Distinguished Entrepreneur by the Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
This prestigious honor is awarded to the founder of an established, successful Nebraska-based company that has shown continued innovation, resilience, and meaningful impact. It celebrates leaders who not only build thriving businesses—but also inspire others to dream big and take bold steps forward.
For Christie, this award is especially meaningful. As a proud UNL alumna and daughter of a long-time UNL professor, her Nebraska roots run deep. Receiving this honor at the Rococo Theatre in Lincoln, surrounded by students, faculty, and fellow entrepreneurs, was both humbling and energizing.
“More and more will happen if we can cultivate the community here and encourage young adults and older adults to step out and try something that may feel risky, but is quite rewarding.” — Christie Stukenholtz
Christie’s leadership at Senior Care Finder has been defined by one goal: making the search for senior living and care less overwhelming and more empowering. What began as a personal mission—after helping her own family navigate senior care—has evolved into a growing tech company changing the way families and providers connect. With a people-first approach, a deep commitment to transparency, and the belief that entrepreneurship can solve real-world problems, Christie continues to shape not only a company, but a movement.
