My adult life has focused on helping the people in my community live as independently as possible and thrive in their daily lives. Starting at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital as a home health Occupational Therapist, to co-founding a non-profit for children with disabilities, my life work has been building relationships with community resources that enhances the quality of life of those within my reach. I am now the owner and operator of the local Hallmark Homecare which provides caregiver recruiting and matchmaking services for high needs seniors and their families. This "client-directed direct hire" model of care is less costly for clients and offers more hours and pay to experienced caregivers. I have experienced the extreme difficulty of being a caregiver, caring for my husband until I lost him to cancer last year. Being able to reduce the stress of caring for an aging family member while establishing a future for myself and my daughter is my motivation behind being a business owner. My background, partnered with the record success of Hallmark Homecare, creates an opportunity to provide quality services to our local aging adults and their families; with the goal of keeping them independent and home as long as possible.
