Kin On takes a true whole-team approach to helping our Asian community age well at home or thrive in our residences. We do this by offering a culturally sensitive continuum of care. If Kin On doesn’t offer a solution, our team will work with you to find one. Imagine the confusion of leaving behind your home to live in a community where no one speaks your language or serves the kind of food you’re used to. Even the simplest things would become difficult. That was one of the challenges we set out to change when Kin On was founded in 1985. Today, Asian elders have a place they can call their own that truly feels like an extended family, supported by good friends who care. At our core, we create a community where residents feel a warm kinship between their fellow brothers and sisters, and aunties and uncles, bonded together by heritage, language, culture, and food. We hear from people temporarily placed in other care centers that do not cater to Asian elders and they are very relieved to arrive home at Kin On! The Kin On Rehab & Care Center is a community-based, not-for-profit skilled nursing location licensed by the State of Washington and certified by Medicare and Medicaid.
