The Brian Center Alleghany has been caring for the community since 1990. The 89-bed skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care center has consistently been one of the top-rated centers in Virginia. The Brian Center Alleghany is a Five Star Rated center by the Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services Five-Star Rating Program, was named to the U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 list of “Best Nursing Homes.” Throughout the years, the center has continued to meet the changing needs and continuum of care required by today’s health care needs. In addition to traditional long-term care services, the Brian Center Alleghany offers premier short-term rehabilitation services and skilled nursing. Our unique model of care utilizes interdisciplinary teams of physicians, nurse practitioners, licensed nurses and therapists. We work closely with residents and families to develop personalized care plans based on their needs, preferences and life experiences. Our goal is to educate and empower both the caregiver and resident to take an active role in their plan of care both during and after their stay. Additionally, the Brian Center of Alleghany offers outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. The outpatient therapy services will focus on fall prevention and recovery, strength/balance training, post-COVID recovery, post-stroke rehab, joint replacement therapy, and related therapies. The center is located within easy access of a local hospital and interstate roadways.
