Vincentian

Vincentian is a nonprofit organization that has provided a continuum of compassionate care since 1924 when the Vincentian Sisters of Charity opened the Holy Rosary Cottage to serve sick or elderly women who otherwise had nowhere else to turn. Grounded in St. Vincent de Paul’s teachings of charity and compassion for the poor, the Sisters quietly served Western Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable and slowly transitioned this crucial work to laypeople to carry the mission forward.

Today, services to older adults include independent living, personal care, memory care, short-term post-acute rehabilitation care, and long-term skilled nursing. In addition, Vincentian operates a childcare center, a catering line, and a learning institute for training and development.
